West Bromwich Albion have announced the signing of Cameroon international Somen Tchoyi from Red Bull Salzburg for an undisclosed fee.

The 27-year-old midfielder Tchoyi
passed a medical and penned a two-year contract, with the option of a further year.

Albion's scouting network has had its eye on the Austrian Player of the Year for the past two seasons.

The club were able to pursue a deal for Tchoyi when a Football Review Panel at the FA agreed to endorse their work permit application last month.
