Arsenal target Per Mertesacker has declared he has no intention of moving from Werder Bremen this summer.
Mertesacker, 25, has been strongly linked with a switch to the Gunners all summer as manager Arsene Wenger eyes bolstering numbers at centre-back. So far, only Laurent Koscielny has been brought in after William Gallas, Mikael Silvestre, Sol Campbell and Philippe Senderos all left the club.
Speaking to Bild, the Germany international declared the Frenchman would have to look elsewhere for new faces.
"I'm staying at Bremen," Mertesacker said.
"There have been so many rumours concerning me, but I've never had to be concerned because none were concrete."
Mertesacker may not be on the move to the Emirates, but he has been on the move in the latest Castrol Rankings. The Germany international has slipped 49 places to 110th following his exploits at the 2010 World Cup.
