Tottenham Hotspur might be scared off a deal for William Gallas because the former Arsenal defender will ask for a two-year deal.
The France international was let go by the Gunners this summer as Arsene Wenger was only set to give him a one-year contract to stay with Arsenal.
It is not likely that Spurs would give the 33-year-old any more than a one year commitment as well, despite the club’s interest in strengthening their fragile defence this summer, according to The Sun.
Turkish club Fenerbahce have already offered the Frenchman a two-year deal this summer, and Ligue 1 team PSG are also interested in bringing Gallas back home to France to finish his career.
Tottenham are concerned with the health of defenders Ledley King and Jonathan Woodgate, and Spurs manager Harry Redknapp has said that he is hoping to sign a centre-back this summer, but Gallas’ request for a multi-year contract could scare him off.
