Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti rubbishes rumours of Ashley Cole exit

Fabio Coentrao not on his way to Blues as left-back's replacement
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has labelled rumours he is set to swap Fabio Coentrao for Ashley Cole as 'rubbish'.

Cole, 29, has been linked with a big money reunion with Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid all summer. If this transfer was sanctioned, Benfica youngster Coentrao was expected to make his way to Stamford Bridge as a ready made replacement.

However, Ancelotti has slammed the reports and insists Cole is going nowhere.

He said: "It's not true, totally rubbish."

The Italian was less forthcoming about his £18.2 million move for Coentrao's club-mate Ramires and insisted he was concentrating on Sunday's Community Shield meeting with Manchester United.

"Ramires is, until now, a Benfica player. When he is here, I can speak about him, not now," Ancelotti said.

He added: "I don't want to speak about Ramires. When Ramires will sign a contract for Chelsea, he will sign.

"This is the same for other players. I read a lot of names in the newspapers.

"Today, we don't want to speak about these players because Sunday, we will have a very important game."
