Tottenham are believed to be hot on the trail of signing Alexander Hleb from Barcelona, amidst interest from Liverpool.
The 29-year-old midfielder was considered as one of the bright spots at Arsenal before making a move to the Catalan club, where he was unable to create an impact significant enough to warrant a starting role.
The Belarus international was eventually sent out on a season-long loan to former club Stuttgart, where relatively strong performances earned him links with a clutch of clubs around Europe.
Now Sport.co.uk claims that Spurs will enter into negotiations in due course, with Liverpool also said to be keen on procuring the midfielder's services.
Spanish side Sevilla have also been linked with a move for Hleb.
