Fulham owner Mohamed Al Fayed hits out at former manager Roy Hodgson
Chief claims new Reds boss 'took advantage' of the club...

Fulham chairman Mohamed Al Fayed has criticised his former manager Roy Hodgson, claiming that the new Liverpool boss 'took advantage' of the Cottagers.
Hodgson, who replaced Lawrie Sanchez when the club were in the relegation zone in December 2007, worked wonders at the Craven Cottage club, saving them from relegation with a 1-0 win away to Portsmouth on the last day of the 2007-08 season.
He then guided the club into Europe in the next campaign before embarking on a memorable last season when they reached the Europa League final, before falling to an agonising defeat to Athletico Madrid in extra time.
His fine work at one of the supposed smaller clubs in the country caught the eye of the Anfield hierarchy and Hodgson was installed as the new Liverpool manager following the departure of Rafael Benitez.
Fulham have since appointed former Manchester City manager Mark Hughes as Hodgson’s successor and on the day the Welshman was unveiled, Al Fayed couldn’t resist a sly dig in the direction of his former manager.
"He inherited a great team which had fantastic results but unfortunately this guy (Hodgson), after we put him where he is now, he took advantage and left us,” Al Fayed said at today’s press conference.
"But good luck to him, good luck to Liverpool."
Despite his apparent bitterness towards Hodgson, the former Harrods owner was pleased to have landed Hughes, who is widely accepted as one of the most talented British coaches in the game at the moment.
Al Fayed continued: “He is a nice guy. He is much better looking and I am sure that he will do a great job.
"I am sure that there will be no complications. We have a great managing director and chief executive and we're happy to have someone like Mark in place."
