Carlo Ancelotti denies Ashley Cole is leaving Chelsea
Blues boss again quashes rumours suggesting defender is close to joining Madrid
By Ben Sibley
Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has once again dismissed claims Ashley Cole could be leaving the club this summer.
Cole has been linked with a reunion with former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid throughout the summer.Ancelotti has repeatedly indicated the England left-back will not be leaving Stamford Bridge however, and has once again moved to silence talk that suggests otherwise.
“Ashley Cole will not be sold at any price,” Ancelotti said after a 2-1 loss to Bundesliga outfit Eintracht Frankfurt.
“There is no price that we would sell him at. We believe he is the best left-back in the world and because of this he will stay at this club.
“Nothing has changed in our position. Everyone can forget about Ashley Cole leaving this club.”
The loss to Frankfurt was Chelsea’s second in a row after a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Martin Jol’s Ajax nine days ago.-
