Fabio Aurelio re-signs for Liverpool on two-year contract
Brazilian impresses new management at Anfield...
By Grant Wilson
The Brazilian had left the Merseyside club earlier this summer, after failing to agree a new contract on a pay-as-you-play basis.
But now Aurelio has been offered a deal by new manager Roy Hodgson who is believed to be a keen admirer of the player.
"I asked the club to find out whether Fabio had found a new club,” Hodgson told Liverpool's official site.
"When we ascertained that he hadn't, we invited him back to Melwood so both myself and my staff, and the medical team could properly assess the player.
"We were both very impressed and I am delighted we were able to re-sign Fabio."
Aurelio has been included in the Liverpool squad that travelled to Germany on Saturday for the friendly against Borussia Moenchengladbach.
