Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp targets Aston Villa's Curtis Davies and Manchester City's Micah Richards - report
Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has highlighted Aston Villa's Curtis Davies or Manchester City's Micah Richards to fill in for crocked centre-back Jonathan Woodgate, according to the Daily Mail.
The former Real Madrid man's injury nightmare has continued at White Hart Lane. Woodgate was forced to miss the majority of Spurs' campaign last term, with little sign his absence is set to end in the near future.
With England defender Ledley King also struggling with a permanent knee complaint, Redknapp is set to move to bolster his squad ahead of their debut Champions League campaign.
Both Richards and Davies struggled with form and fitness last term, and are not first choice at their respective clubs. The offer of regular first team football is hoped to be enough to persuade one of them to move to north London.
