Liverpool left-back Emiliano Insua's Fiorentina move to be completed next week - report
Emiliano Insua's protracted move from Liverpool to Fiorentina is finally set to be completed next week after an agreement over personal terms edged closer, according to skysports.com.
Insua, 21, has been linked with the Serie A side all summer and an undisclosed fee - rumoured to be £4.2 million - had been brokered. Despite new Reds boss Roy Hodgson's insistence in shipping out the Argentina international to raise funds to bolster his squads, the transfer had looked close to collapse as Insua's wage demands proved to be a stumbling block.
Fiorentina have returned to the negotiating table, however, and the deal is expected to be rubber stamped in the coming days.
If finalised, the switch will bring an end to the left-back's three year stay on Merseyside after being drafted in by ex-manager Rafael Benitez.
