Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp is determined to add Scott Parker to his squad despite West Ham United's public declarations the defensive midfielder is not for sale, according to the Daily Star.

Parker, 29, has emerged as a key target for Spurs as they prepare to begin their first Champions League campaign. This pursuit has gone down badly with the Hammers, with co-chairman David Gold slamming their initial offer, reported to be around £7 million.

Parker, however, has reportedly been unsettled by the club's decision to reject their rivals bid. Redknapp is now hopeful Parker will force through the transfer as he desires one more crack at Europe's top club competition.

In 2004, he left Charlton Athletic for Chelsea for the same reason and Spurs hope for a repeat this summer.
