'I really need you to tell me who are Manchester United signing? I'm really bothered.' Goal.com UK readers tweet their transfer questions...

Chief correspondent quizzed on Twitter...

By Matt Monaghan

With the Premier League trasnfer window about to shut, the questions of which stars will be on the move was on the agenda in the latest of Goal.com UK's series of live Twitter transfer question and answer sessions.

Our chief correspondent Wayne Veysey was the man in the spotlight as our readers asked who is Sir Alex Ferguson set to buy, will Ramires complete his transfer to Chelsea, and is Fernando Torres now set to stay at Liverpool?

Read below to find out which players your club will be chasing in the coming weeks...

@AhmadZahrin: Will Liverpool sign Royston Drenthe?

Wayne Veysey: No. Liverpool sources say there is absolutely no chance of Drenthe signing.

@alastairmiller: Do you think there is any chance of Manchester United signing Karim Benzema?

WV: Yes. United still interested in Benzema. Sir Alex Ferguson isn't put off by a wild child.

@ch3x: Has to be asked, Cesc Fabregas to Barcelona but when? Also, do they need him?

WV: Fabregas to Barca would have happened by now if they had the money. They will have more need for him in 12 months.

@StevenLiew: Rumours are saying Maynor Figueroa deal is done and is only pending a medical. Any truth in that?

WV: That's what I heard too. Liverpool definitely very keen on Figueroa after Manchester City wouldn't sell Wayne Bridge.

@rfugulin
: For how much is Steve Sidwell moving?

WV: I believe the Sidwell-Fulham deal has been agreed for £2 million.

New Blue? | Ramires set for Stamford Bridge

@mitmitloo: Who is going to replace Javier Mascherano at Liverpool, any ideas?

WV: A player with Premier League experience in my opinion. Scott Parker a good shout but Roy Hodgson's defensive midfield funds likely to be capped at £15 million.

@SoloZ_: Manchester City look odds-on favourite to sign Mario Balotelli now. Any chance of Manchester United scuppering the deal?

WV: No. Balotelli has made his mind up. Would only collapse over money now and City have plenty of that.

@flargie: What's the likelihood of Arsenal making a move for Per Mertesacker or Miguel Veloso?

WV: Reasonable chance of Mertesacker. As everyone knows - and even Arsene Wenger admits - senior centre-half buy is a necessity.

@cfcowns: Will Chelsea be going for Kaka and David Luiz?

WV: It has gone quiet on Kaka but Chelsea very keen on David Luiz.

@ch3x: Rumour has it Chelsea had plans to sign Fernando Torres and Kaka. Your thoughts on that matter?

WV: Kaka on radar but Torres the big one. If Chelsea don't get Torres this summer, they will come back in January & again next summer.

One and only | Ozil could be Ferguson's sole splurge

@AniketCP: Are the Ramires and Neymar moves to Chelsea still on or have they hit a dead end?

WV: I understand Ramires still on and will go through soon. Neymar one of a few Chelsea looking at.

@gamdede: I really need you to tell me who are Manchester United signing? I'm really bothered.

WV: I believe Manchester United will sign one stellar name. Sir Alex Ferguson has £25 million transfer pot but might not be until after next accounts released in August.

@TasrifAzman: Will Arsenal sign a goalkeeper before transfer window closes?

WV: Arsenal will be mad not to sign a keeper & I think they will. Mark Schwarzer still most likely.

@Witty144
: Do you think Chelsea need to buy a new goalkeeper since Petr Cech is injured and Ross Turnbull has done some foul ups?

WV: I was in Amsterdam for Turnbull blunders & they were awful. Neither Henrique Hilario or Turnbull looks safe, so yes.
