Marseille defender Laurent Bonnart is set to become new West Ham United manager Avram Grant’s latest Upton Park recruit, according to The Daily Mail.
Bonnart, 30, is a free agent and has a wealth of experience having represented the French champions 98 times.
Proficient with both feet, Bonnart is equally at home at right-back or left-back.
Born on Christmas Day 1979 in Chambray-les-Tours, he began his career with local outfit Tours before moving to Le Mans UC72, where he made 235 league appearance between 1998 and 2007.
West Ham have already signed Thomas Hitzlsperger, Frederic Piquionne and Pablo Barrera this summer.
