Stoke City are lining up a £4 million raid for Portsmouth and Ghana midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng, according to the Sunday Mirror.
Potters boss Tony Pulis is reportedly eager to strengthen his squad ahead of the coming season and is determined to land the 23-year-old this week.
Boateng, who was a stand-out performer at this summer's World Cup, is looking to leave Pompey who were relegated to the Championship last season.
The cash-strapped club, who have been in administration since February, are looking to offload the former Tottenham Hotspur star who is one of the squad's highest wage-earners.
Pulis is reportedly meeting with Portsmouth representatives this week and is hopeful a deal can be reached before the Premier League season kicks-off on August 14.
