Dave Jones fully focused on Cardiff City despite being linked with Fulham job
Bluebirds boss wants to manage in Premier League with the Welsh side...
By Grant Wilson
Jones has become the favourite to take over at the Cottagers after Ajax manager Martin Jol decided against a return to the Premier League.
However, earlier this week Jones claimed he still hadn’t been contacted by Fulham.
He has also admitted that though he was flattered by the reported interested, his full focus is on Cardiff City.
"It is always nice as a manager or a player to be associated with good jobs, but it is speculation and I am here, working my socks off as I always do," he told Sky Sports News.
"Do I talk about speculation? No. it is not worth talking about.
"I am working my hardest here as I always do and so are my staff, the players and everyone behind the scenes."
Although Jones concedes that he would jump at the opportunity to manage in the Premier League, he has stated that he wants to achieve that with Cardiff.
"I'd love to get Premier League football with Cardiff," he said. "That is what I am working for because they are the ones who employ me."
