Federico Macheda will not be leaving Manchester United, despite the promising striker being linked with a number of high-profile clubs this summer.

According to the player's agent Giovanni Bia, the fleet-footed frontman's future at Old Trafford is not under question, although Real Sociedad, Palermo and Inter have expressed their interest in him over recent weeks.

"All the voices that have been going around are false," Bia told Calcionews24.com.

"Federico [Macheda] is held in incredible esteem by Manchester United and so he will not go, in fact he cannot wait for the new season.

"I hope he does even better this year and I am sure people will continue speaking about him."

Macheda scored just once in five Premier League fixtures last season.
