Nearly half call for improvements up front...

On Monday we asked you which position Harry Redknapp should look to strengthen during the summer and your answers were pretty conclusive.

47.49 per cent of you want 'Arry to add to his striking options, and find a partner for Jermain Defoe.

But a fair few of you wanted the Tottenham gaffer to have a look at his defensive options and bring in cover at the back, especially with the injury records of first choice centre-backs Ledley King and Michael Dawson. In total, 30.19 per cent would like to see some cloggers.

Only 12.05 per cent are unhappy with Spurs' midfield options, while 8.83 per cent are satisfied with the squad that qualified for last season's Champions League. And, in a twist of fortunes from a year ago, goalkeeper Huerlo Gomes has the safest seat in the house, with only 1.43 per cent wanting him ousted for a new shot-stopper. Tell any Spurs fan that 12 months ago and they'd have laughed.

Here’s a run through of the players on top of the fans' most wanted list...

Huntelaar Suarez

"Suarez would be an incredible signing (he can also play in goal!)."

Brian | Dublin

"Forlan. All day long."

| Isle of Wight

"Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Luis Suarez will fully bolster the attack and create new depth in attacking."

Danial H | Singapore

Diego Forlan's struggles in the Premier League seven years ago have been forgiven after a superb World Cup display for Uruguay, leading readers to call for Redknapp to try and sign the Atletico Madrid Striker.

At 30 he is no spring chicken, but took his nation to the semi-finals as well as firing in the goals that won Atletico the Europa League last season.

Luis Suarez's goalscoring exploits last season clearly didn't go unnoticed by the White Hart Lane faithful either. The Uruguayan smashed in an impressive 49 goals, but his defining moment this year came in South Africa - and it was his hands that were the talking point. But Suarez's infamous goal-line handball against Ghana clearly hasn't put Tottenham fans off.

Milan striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar didn't have such a successful season in Italy, nor a brilliant World Cup with the Netherlands - netting just once - but you still want him to be considered. The Dutchman has European pedigree and has been long linked with a move to England.

Tomorrow we will unveil the star signing that YOU hope to see plying their trade up front at White Heart Lane next season. So, who will it be?

Will World Cup Golden Ball winner Forlan get the nod or will it be his Uruguay team-mate Suarez? Or will you go Dutch instead with Huntelaar?
