Spartak Moscow have put the brakes on Tottenham Hotspur's move for Stipe Pletikosa due to the uncertainty over head coach Valeri Karpin's future, according to the Daily Mail.
Spartak have endured a difficult start to the Russian season and Karpin has toyed with resigning his post. An upheaval in management could yet see the Croatia international thrust back into the first team picture after he was frozen out due to limits on foreign players in the domestic league.
Spurs initially set up a deal to bring Pletikosa to White Hart Lane last summer before a new injury scuppered the deal. Manager Harry Redknapp is keen to reignite his loan offer for the player, although the situation has been further complictaed after elements in Moscow demanded a permanent sale to raise funds.
