Spurs manager eyeing Croatian as third shot-stopper
Redknapp has reportedly had a long-term interest in the Croatia international after a deal last summer broke down due to a knee injury sustained by the ‘keeper.
Now Spurs are looking to cement a deal for a third stopper, after the former West Ham United and Portsmouth manager told Sky Sports News that youngster David Button is set to leave on loan.
When asked about the possibility of signing Pletikosa, Redknapp said: "That's a possibility, we're looking to take a loan there.
"I've got [Heurelho] Gomes and I've got Carlo [Cudicini], which is good, but the young lad David Button is going out on loan so I feel we need three 'keepers.
"Carlo is coming back from a bad accident so we don't want to leave ourselves short. We'll be looking to bring another 'keeper in to give us three goalkeepers," he concluded.
