Sven-Goran Eriksson’s agent Athole Still has confirmed that there has been no contact between Fulham and the former England and Manchester City manager.

Still was speaking to BBC Radio 5Live when asked about the possibility of his client becoming the next Fulham manager, and replied: “It's a very attractive club, not just for Sven-Goran Eriksson.”

But he quickly added: "[There has been] no contact whatsoever.

"We've known for several weeks that Sven was one of the managers under consideration for the job.

"[However, there has been] no interview, no discussion whatsoever."

Still also offered his opinion that Eriksson was unfairly dismissed by Manchester City the last time he worked in the English Premier League, implying that the Swede would welcome the chance to put the record straight by restoring his reputation in England.

"Of course he has unfinished business there [the Premier League].

"He was in my view outrageously sacked from his position.

"He did a first-class job with Manchester City - it was a personal non-compatability with [the club's then owner] Dr Shinawatra which caused him to be sacked.

"He should still be there,” he said.

Speculation linking Eriksson with Fulham has been reignited in recent days after a deal to bring Martin Jol to the London club could not be reached with the Dutchman's current employers Ajax. Fulham will now have to turn their attentions to other candidates, with chief executive Alistair Mackintosh leading the managerial job hunt.
