Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini hopes to get chance to sign Aston Villa midfielder James Milner
The midfield starlet is keen to leave Villa this summer

The England international has been tipped with a move to the Eastlands this summer, with Villa turning down a £20 million offer for the midfielder.
Villa were hoping to keep the 24-year-old, but Martin O’Neill admitted on Thursday that the club are willing to let Milner go if the right bid comes in for the Englishman.
Mancini, who is with City on their pre-season tour of the United States, hopes that City can make a deal to bring add Milner to the growing list of new stars coming to the Eastlands club.
"Milner is a good player, but today he is an Aston Villa player," Mancini told Sky Sports News.
"If we have this chance [to sign Milner] I think we can take him, but we must wait now."
City goalkeeper Shay Given, a former team-mate of Milner's at Newcastle, believes the midfielder is a quality player.
Patrick Vieira is also a proponent of City acquiring Milner and praised the future of the team, saying that players will flock to the ambitious club.
"He [Milner] is a terrific player," said Vieira.
"Of course it is not my place to say if he has to come or not but when you look at players we have around it will be good.
"The attraction of City is that the future is fantastic. We have a really competitive team and I think every single player will want to play for City because the future is bright for City."
