Iran international Andranik Teymourian has turned down the chance of an extended trial with Blackburn Rovers.

The former Bolton player was invited on Rovers' pre-season tour of Australia after playing in friendlies against Southport and Huddersfield this week. The club have four more friendlies scheduled before starting their Premier League campaign on August 14 against Everton, including three during their tour of Australia, but the 27-year-old midfielder has chosen to remain in the UK to pursue other options.

Teymourian has been looking for a new club since his contract with Fulham expired at the start of the summer.
