Liverpool could sell £25m want-away star & Inter target Javier Mascherano to raise transfer funds - report
Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson could sell Argentine midfielder Javier Mascherano in order to raise revenue to fund new player purchases, The Guardian has revealed.
Hodgson wants more signings to lift the Anfield 'doom and gloom' and former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has been widely reported as wanting to sign the Argentinian for his new side Inter Milan.

Mascherano's agent, Walter Tamer, recently said it was the 26-year-old's 'dream' to play in Serie A, so an approach from Inter has been expected.
However, Liverpool have reportedly slapped a £25 million price-tag on the 26-year-old World Cup star, who has apparently ignored calls and texts from Hodgson since the tournament finished.
Liverpool's debt problems mean that Hodgson is likely to have sell players and use the revenue obtained to buy those he feels will strengthen his squad.
