Young Ajax attacker Miralem Sulejmani is far from happy with head coach Martin Jol's decision to turn down a one-year loan move from Premier League outfit West Ham United for the Serbian international.

The tricky forward had already agreed personal terms with the Hammers, but Jol vetoed the move, claiming that Sulejmani is an important first team player for the Amsterdam side.

"I really don't understand why Jol has vetoed the move. It looks like he's trying to ruin my career. I was looking forward to relaunching my career at West Ham. Their manager sees me as a big talent and I'm keen to make a fresh start elsewhere," Sulejmani was quoted as saying by AD.

Sulejmani joined Ajax from Heerenveen in the summer of 2008 for a fee of €16.25 million, but the 21-year-old has so far failed to live up to the high expectations in the Amsterdam ArenA. He has mainly been warming the bench under Jol.

The Serbian youngster claims that Ajax had promised him that he could leave the Amsterdam titans if an interested club made an offer for him.

You may have read earlier that Ryan Giggs has signed yet another contract extension with Manchester United - I think you honestly have to wonder if he put pen to paper out of sheer habit at this stage - but it's good news for the club, says Javier Hernandez, who has hailed him as a "legend" (rightly so, of course).

The Mexican tyro has also got his eyes on winning the Red Devils a 20th league title. To see his thoughts, just click 'read more'.

Well, if you fancy a bit of that, Phil Kitromilides has the lowdown on the value bets in that Tottenham - Newcastle game. Away win at 13/2, you say? Hmm ...

Phil, as a sensible man, went for another bet entirely in the end, but I've just got a bit of a feeling. Maybe Papiss Demba Cisse's brilliant goal last weekend has got me in too much of a flutter (geddit?).

I'm going to play devil's advocate for a moment here: Chelsea are stuttering and have a tricky away trip to Everton. Arsenal are inconsistent and have an even trickier away trip to in-form Sunderland. Tottenham could be distracted by the Harry Redknapp and England whirlwind ... could this be the weekend when Newcastle go back into the top four?

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas has (hopefully) downed a honeyed lozenge or two to clear his throat before telling reporters that his side won't fall into the trap of underestimating Everton tomorrow. Let's not forget, the Toffees sunk Manchester City not two weeks ago - could the Blues slip up too?

Check out what the hoarse whisperer had to say by clicking 'read more'.
