Tottenham Hotspur striker Roman Pavlyuchenko is contemplating a move to Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon on a season-long loan.
Both clubs have agreed to split the wages of the Russia international next season, and are only waiting on Pavlyuchenko to agree to the move, according to Portuguese newspaper Abola.
The 28-year-old has found it difficult to secure first-team football at Spurs with Peter Crouch and Jermain Defoe sitting ahead of the Russian in manager Harry Redknapp’s striking depth chart.
Redknapp has also shown his interest in a move for Sevilla hitman Luis Fabiano, as he is keen to strengthen the squad before his team competes in the Champions League this season.
Pavlyuchenko performed well in his limited opportunities for Spurs last season, netting ten goals in 24 games for the club.
Tottenham acquired the Russian attacker from Spartak Moscow for £13.8 million in September 2008.
