Rob Edwards has signed a new one-year deal with Premier League newcomers Blackpool.
The 27-year-old had been out of contract since the end of June when his deal at Bloomfield Road ended but has now agreed a new deal which contains the option to extend it for another year.
Edwards says he always wanted to stay at Blackpool and is looking forward to playing in the Premier League this season.
He told the club’s official website: "There has never been any doubt that I wanted to stay and I'm just glad that it's all sorted now.
"I love working here with the lads and the manager [Ian Holloway] as well. I thoroughly enjoyed last year and I want to be part of it again this year, and hopefully even more so.
"Being involved in the Premier League is the ultimate for any player and that was a big pull as well in me staying."
Edwards joined Blackpool from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2008 and has made 63 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
