Manchester United consider Federico Macheda 'absolutely unsellable' - agent
Italian set to stay with Red Devils...
By Danielle Joynson
Manchester United striker Federico Macheda is too valuable to leave the Red Devils, according to his agent.
The Italian forward made an instant impact when he scored on his debut against Aston Villa last April but has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford for the coming season.
Despite persistent rumours suggesting otherwise, Macheda's agent, Giovanni Ba, is adamant the player’s future is at United.
"I spoke last week with [manager Sir Alex] Ferguson. The club considers him absolutely unsellable," Ba told calciomercato.com.
"He stays at Manchester United."
Bologna showed interest in having the youngster for a loan spell back in January but Ba's comments suggest his client will remain in Manchester.
Macheda was plagued by a number of injuries last season which limited his first team opportunities but the Italian starlet could get his chance this coming season as Sir Alex Ferguson's side look to wrestle the Premier League title back from Chelsea.
The League Cup winners begin their campaign with a home match against newly-promoted Newcastle United.
