Real Madrid and Manchester City target Maicon happy to stay with Inter Milan - agent
Brazilian defender has been heavily linked with a move this summer
By Anthony Sciarrino
Antonio Caliendo, the agent of Inter Milan star Maicon, asserted that his client has no problem staying with the defender Champions League winners.
The Brazil international has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, following former Inter boss Jose Mourinho who took charge of the club this summer.
Manchester City has also shown their interest in the right-back, considered one of the world’s best at his position.
Inter president Massimo Moratti would seek a huge return if he were to sell the 28-year-old, and Caliendo acknowledged that his client would be happy to stay with the Serie A champions.
"We expect the president Massimo Moratti to give some indication (to his future), however, as for me and the player, we have no problems whatsoever," Caliendo told Sky Italia.
"We have a contract and Moratti will decide whether to accelerate the negotiation, or invite us to say that the player will officially remain at Inter.
"The offer from Real Madrid? I think there was one. It seems to me that Mourinho has been very explicit since he arrived in Madrid.
"35million euros? For me, Moratti called it shortly, he could request 60million, the contract is his and then he makes the money."
