The 22-year-old had a strong season with the Cherries last season, and his excellent eye for goal is also reported to have attracted interest from Reading and Bristol City.
However, The Daily Mail reports that manager Ian Holloway is willing to lodge a bid of £700,000 to bring in the hitman into the newly promoted Premier League club.
Holloway's future has itself been the subject of some speculation, but the gaffer recently maintained that he intends to continue as the Seasiders' boss - and is expected to sign a new contract this week.
Blackpool, who were last in England's top flight in the 1970-71 season, have also been linked with moves for Bayern Munich's Deniz Yilmaz, retired midfielder Nicky Butt and Rangers winger DaMarcus Beasley.
Former Manchester United and England star Butt, who captained Newcastle United to the Championship title and promotion last season before retiring, has been backed by Magpies' manager Chris Hughton to go into coaching, but in addition to the interest from Blackpool has also been offered a chance to prolong his playing career at Championship side Preston North End.
