Robbie Blake has talked of his excitement after reuniting with Bolton Wanderers boss Owen Coyle, who had been his manager at Burnley.

Blake has joined the Trotters on a one-year-deal after being released by the Clarets at the end of last season and says Coyle will get him playing well again in the Premier League.

He told the club's official website: "It is a fantastic opportunity for me. I know that I am going to have to work hard and battle to get in the side.

"Obviously I know the Manager well and it is fair to say that he brought the best out of me. It is down to me to earn the right to wear the Bolton shirt.

"We all know that we have to earn that right."

Blake is optimistic ahead of the new campaign and said he enjoyed his first training session with his new team-mates at the Reebok Stadium.  for his new team ahead of pre-season.

"Training was great today, everyone has made me feel welcome and I am looking forward to getting to know the lads better over the next few weeks," he added.

"We've got a good squad and the mood is really bright, it was a good first day."
