Fulham interested in West Ham United striker Carlton Cole as a replacement for Bobby Zamora - report

Fulham are believed to be targeting West Ham United forward Carlton Cole as a replacement if Bobby Zamora should walk through the exit door at Craven Cottage.

Fulham's sensational run in the Europa League last season, culminating in an appearance in the final of the competition, was attributed in part to the rich vein of form displayed by the 29-year-old Zamora, who was in turn linked with a move to a clutch of clubs.

Now The Mirror reports that the Cottagers view former Chelsea striker Cole as an ideal replacement if Zamora should leave the club.

The Hammers' owner, David Sullivan, has in the past maintained that every player except Scott Parker is available for sale at Upton Park.
