Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini's son rushed to hospital
By Salvatore Landolina
Roberto Mancini is concerned about his son Filippo after he was rushed to hospital in Sassari, Sardinia where the family are on holiday on the day Manchester City announced the signing of David Silva from Valencia.
Il Corriere dello Sport reports Filippo, who last year played for Lega Pro second division outfit Bellaria and had previously played for Manchester City, was involved in an accident at the seaside resort in which he suffered an injury to his head.
He was taken to the Santissima Annunziata hospital in Sassari where he is being monitored.
His father Roberto said: "It was an accidental fall that happened last night where he banged his head.
"The medics are keeping him under observation at the Neurology department."
Today City have also captured Silva from Valencia after agreeing terms with club and player. He joins on a five-year once he passes his medical with the Premier League side after the World Cup.
