Bolton Wanderers keen on bringing Juan Roman Riquelme & Ilan to the Reebok - report

Juan Roman Riquelme - Boca Juniors
Bolton Wanderers are reported to be interested in acquiring the services of former West Ham United striker Ilan, and ex-Boca Juniors midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme.

The 29-year-old Brazilian is available for free, having been released by West Ham United in spite of helping the club through a time of crisis to successfully avoid relegation from the Premier League.

In the meantime, The Mirror reports that the Trotters are also interested in signing Riquelme to add pedigree to their midfield.

The 32-year-old had previously attracted interest from the Hammers, but recent reports suggest that manager Avram Grant is unsure whether or not the player would prove to be a worthy addition to his squad.

Bolton are consequently believed to be in line to take Argentine international Riquelme - who also played for Barcelona and Villarreal - into their fold.
