Sampdoria are bracing themselves for a big money bid from Manchester City for star striker Giampaolo Pazzini, according to Sportmediaset.
Pazzini, 25, is highly-rated in Serie A and was part of Marcello Lippi's Italy squad at this summer's World Cup. After netting 19 times in the league last term, a number of clubs have been linked with a move, including Juventus.
Blues manager Roberto Mancini is reported to be ready to raid his former club and bring Pazzini to Eastlands. A reported £20 million fee would be no problem for the big spenders.
