Birmingham City enter race to sign Standard Liege forward Dieumerci Mbokani after Fulham move falls through - report
Birmingham City are believed to have entered the chase to sign Standard Liege striker Dieumerci Mbokani.
The former Anderlecht hitman had in the past declared that he would like to make a move to a club in the Premier League or the Bundesliga if he were to leave the Belgian heavyweights.
And there had previously been reports that Fulham were on the verge of signing the player, but The Daily Mail reports that the potential move has fallen through.
Brum are consequently believed to have join the race to sign the forward, who has also been linked with Everton, Blackburn Rovers and Lazio.
It has been reported that £8 million is the price Standard Liege have placed on Mbokani's head.
The 24-year-old, whose first name means 'Thank you God', was born in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. He is desperate for a transfer, even telling Standard Liege that he will not be playing for them during pre-season.
