Aston Villa targeting Celtic's Aiden McGeady as replacement for James Milner - report
Aston Villa are believed to be keen on bringing in Celtic winger Aiden McGeady as a replacement for James Milner, if the latter should depart to ply his trade with Manchester City.
The England international has been heavily linked with a big money move to Eastlands, with talk of a sum believed to be in the region of close to £30 million expected to change hands if the move were to take place.
Earlier reports also point towards the Villans being resigned to losing their star midfielder, who was branded by Three Lions boss Fabio Capello as the most improved player this year.
And with the former Newcastle United midfielder edging closer to a move to the blue half of Manchester, The Mirror claims that manager Martin O'Neill is looking for a reunion with his former player McGeady.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international has been widely tipped to leave the SPL, with Spartak Moscow being heavily linked with a move for the winger.
