Arsenal defender William Gallas close to joining Juventus - agent
Agent tells Italian media he wants to join Juve...
By Salvatore Landolina
Arsenal defender William Gallas would be 'happy' to join Juventus, according to his agent, Etienne Mendy.
Gallas, who is on his way back from a less than perfect World Cup with France - who were dumped out at the group stage - is seemingly ready to accept a two-year deal in Turin.
"I can confirm that Juventus are interested in the defender," Mendy told Itasportpress.it. "I will meet the Bianconeri directors to find an agreement over his wages after having been in touch with them a few days ago.
"Juventus want Gallas and he would be happy to wear the Bianconeri shirt."
Gallas will be out of contract at the Emirates next week, with his deal expiring on June 30 and it is looking more and more unlikely that he will not be renewing.
The Gunners are in no mood to break their one-year extension policy for thirtysomething players.
It seems Juve's offer of a two-year deal appeals to the player, who has also been linked with Roma and Paris Saint-Germain.
