Bolton Wanderers are favourites to sign Everton striker James Vaughan according the News of the World.
New Celtic boss Neil Lennon is also said to be interested in the England Under-21 international who could be seen as a replacement for Robbie Keane, who is currently set to start next season with parent club Tottenham Hotspur after his loan spell.
The Scottish club are said to want to take Vaughan on a season-long loan which may suit Everton as it would allow them to keep hold of the 21-year-old.
Despite a series of injuries restricting Vaughan to just 46 appearances for Everton since 2004, Bolton boss Owen Coyle is willing to risk signing the youngster on a permanent deal.
The Birmingham-born forward was loaned out to Derby County and Leicester City this season and could be allowed to leave Goodson Park for £1 million.
