Birmingham City in talks with Crystal Palace over signing youngster Nathaniel Clyne - report

Birmingham City are believed to be in talks with Crystal Palace over signing highly talented youngster Nathaniel Clyne.

The 19-year-old full-back has been rated very highly by former Palace manager Neil Warnock, who predicted that the player would turn out to be a very well-rounded footballer.

The young right-back began his professional career with the Eagles in 2008, swiftly cementing a regular spot in the club's back-line as he helped them avoid relegation last season.

The finances at Selhurst Park have been rocky at best in recent times, and the club have been tipped in the past to sell some of their players to alleviate the problem.

Now Sky Sports reports that Brum are in talks to sign the starlet, whom Warnock (now boss at QPR) once said "has a bright future in the game".

Clyne was Palace's Young Player of the Year in 2009 as well as 2010.
