New Barcelona president Sandro Rosell vows to continue pursuit of Arsenal's Cesc Fabregas
Change of stewardship does not affect ongoing pursuit...

New Barcelona president Sandro Rosell plans to continue the club's pursuit of want-away Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas.
The 46-year old will succeed the incumbent Joan Laporta in a fortnight's time after winning the election at the weekend. At the top of the Catalan's agenda has been the bid to bring Fabregas back to the Nou Camp after he left for the Gunners in 2003.
A £29 million bid has already been rejected, and Gunners manager Arsene Wenger has reiterated his desire not to sanction the move. Speaking to reporters after his victory, Rosell stated that he will permit a new offer if head coach Pep Guardiola still wants the £58m-rated midfielder.
"When we get together, Laporta will explain at what stage the Cesc situation is at," Rosell said.
"If negotiations are advanced and the coaching staff want the player, we will continue with the negotiations, without doubt.
"Until 1st July we can't do anything (as Laporta and his team remain in charge for two more weeks), but if they need help then we will be the first to give it."
