Arsene Wenger has insisted that Arsenal will not sell Cesc Fabregas and that he has not discussed the matter with the player himself.

Feverish speculation has continued to link the Gunners captain with a move back to Barcelona, with the Catalans seemingly convinced that their pursuit of the player will be successful.

The 23-year-old has reportedly informed Wenger that he wants to leave the Emirates, whilst Barca are also believed to have had a £30 million bid turned down by the Gunners.

"I don’t need to talk about Cesc. He has a deal with Arsenal and we don’t want to sell him," said Wenger, according to The Daily Mirror.

"I’ve spoken with Fabregas many times – as with all the players in the World Cup – but never about his future."

Wenger has also, according to The Mirror, ruled out a move for Barca's Yaya Toure, preferring instead to put his faith in Abou Diaby in midfield.

Meanwhile, there are reports coming through that Fabio Capello could be set to jump from one bumper pay deal to another with Russian big spenders Anzhi Makhachkala believed to be entering discussions with the Italian. Ain't half bad for some.

Andre Villas-Boas is certainly feeling the heat in west London following Chelsea's 2-0 defeat to Everton yesterday. The Portuguese boss is now targeting success in this month's Champions League clash with Napoli and FA Cup tie with Birmingham City. Will Cup competitions be enough to hide the Blues woeful Premier League form though?

Quarter of an hour gone at Molineux, and West Brom have had the better of the chances although Wolves are beginning to show signs. Sylvain Ebanks-Blake just attempted an audacious volleyed lob, and seemed to get a nudge from Gareth McAuley in the process. The referee waves away any penalty claims, but McAuley made contact and he certainly wasn't trying to play the ball.

Top save from Wayne Hennessey in the opening minutes, blocking Jerome Thomas from point-blank range. Credit to the Welshman, but how did Thomas not do better!?

He's there boys and girls. We can confirm that Stuart Pearce is at Molineux, basking in the glory of his interim role as England manager.
