Manchester United determined to beat Everton to Olympique Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa - report

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is determined to win the race with Everton to sign Olympique Marseille winger Hatem Ben Arfa, according to a report from l'Equipe.
Ben Arfa, 23, has been a long-term target for the Scot after initially wowing him as a youth player. Both Premier League sides have been alerted to his availability from the Ligue 1 champions and an £8 million fee has been mooted.
Left winger Ben Arfa became an important part of the Marseille set-up in the second half of the season and was named in France's provisional squad for the World Cup.
