Everton join Aston Villa & Sunderland in race to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha - report
Everton are reportedly set to join Sunderland and Aston Villa in the chase to sign Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha.
The 23-year-old had in the past expressed dissatisfaction at not receiving regular time out on the pitch, and his recent criticism of manager Roberto Mancini only fuelled the fires of speculation concerning an Eastlands exit.
The Citizen made only 13 appearances all season, largely as a full-back as opposed to in his favoured central defensive position.
Now The Mirror reports that the Black Cats have already lodged a bid to secure the services of the defender, while Villa were previously believed to have been interested in a £5 million swoop for the player.
It is consequently said that Toffees' boss David Moyes is interested in taking Onuoha to Goodison Park, if the player should give an indication that he is willing to walk away from his boyhood club.
