thumbnail Hello,

Stoke City are believed to be mounting an £11 million bid to sign Tottenham Hotspur forward Roman Pavlyuchenko.

The Potters managed to hit the back of the net only 34 times last term, and the Daily Mail reports that manager Tony Pulis is now looking to bring in two strikers to do the necessary damage up front.

The Russian had previously been a piece of excess baggage at White Hart Lane, and had even considered the possibility of making a move away from the club.

However, the 28-year-old put in strong performances during the second half of the season to help his side to a fourth-placed finish in the Premier League.

Pavlyuchenko has since maintained that he would like to continue playing for Spurs, but has been constantly linked with moves away from the club.

Meanwhile, Stoke are also believed to be close to carving out a deal for Hull City defender Steven Mouyokolo.
