Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan would welcome return to Blackpool
Youngster open to another Bloomfield Road loan spell…
By Danny Hart
The 20-year-old spent the majority of last year at Bloomfield Road and helped guide the Seasiders to the Premier League via the play-offs.
Bannan has signed a new deal with Villa recently but would be willing to gain more first team experience by joining Blackpool on loan again.
He told the Blackpool Gazette: "Although it's over now, we'll see what happens in pre-season. I am obviously going to go back to Villa and give it a go.
"But if it doesn't work out then I'll have to look at other options, maybe a loan move again.
"If it happens then even if Blackpool were still in the Championship I'd come back, because the gaffer has been absolutely brilliant with me.
"All the boys have been great too and I've made good mates. So this could be one of the top options if I was going to come out again."
Bannan has made two appearances for Aston Villa since signing for the club professionally in 2008 and also had a spell Derby County during the last 18 months.
