Aston Villa, Newcastle & Stoke in race to sign Wolves winger Bakary Sako

A host of top-flight clubs are ready to make an offer for the Wolverhampton Wanderers winger, whose contract at Molineux expires at the end of the current campaign

Aston Villa, West Brom, Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke are all interested in signing Wolves winger Bakary SakoGoal understands.

The Mali international is out-of-contract at the end of the season and looks set to leave the club if they fail to win promotion to the Premier League.

Kenny Jackett's side have not yet given up hope of making the play-offs and Sako is understood to have told the club that he will he will not commit his future anywhere until their fate has been resolved.

Sako is happy at Molineux, but even Wolves accept that he cannot turn down a move to the Premier League if they fail to gain promotion.

The club’s Midlands rivals Aston Villa and West Brom are both thought to be readying contract offers, but Goal understands that Newcastle, Sunderland and Stoke are also looking at a potential deal.
