The 20-year-old had initially been wary of moving to the Riverside Stadium but is now ready to join up with Kenneth Omeruo and Lewis Baker in the north east
Middlesbrough's long chase for Chelsea starlet Patrick Bamford is set to be rewarded with a season-long loan deal, Goal can confirm.
Jose Mourinho had made it clear to Bamford he would like him to spend the campaign in the north east under his former Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka.
And Bamford has now agreed to make the move after further talks, and he will join Chelsea team-mate Kenneth Omeruo at the Riverside Stadium.
A third Chelsea player, Lewis Baker, is also expected to join them later in the week - but they are unlikely to be reunited with George Saville
Boro had wanted midfielder Saville on a permanent deal, but he is understood to be closing in on a move to Wolves.
