The 20-year-old defender came through the ranks at the Keepmoat Stadium but has agreed terms to join Aitor Karanka's side, with striker Curtis Main going in the other direction
Middlesbrough have agreed a deal for highly rated Doncaster Rovers defender James Husband, Goal has learned.
Boro have moved for the 20-year-old, who was also linked with Premier League side Hull City, to bolster the left side of their defence.
Goal understands that striker Curtis Main will move in the other direction on a permanent deal.
Husband has come through the youth ranks at Doncaster, but has now agreed terms for a move to the Riverside.
Husband will be Boro’s third signing of the summer following on from Spanish duo Tomas Meijas and Kike.
Boro finished 12th in the Championship last season under former Real Madrid assistant Aitor Karanka.
