Remy wants Champions League football, insists Redknapp

Tottenham have held talks with the France international, while Liverpool are considering a bid, and the QPR boss admits he would be surprised if the forward stayed at Loftus Road
QPR manager Harry Redknapp has reiterated that Loic Remy is keen to join a Champions League club this summer.

As exclusively revealed by Goal in June, the France international has already held talks with Tottenham over a £9 million deal, although the striker is holding out for the possibility of a move to Arsenal.

Goal also reported last Friday that Liverpool are considering a bid for the 27-year-old, who scored 14 Premier League goals during his loan spell with Newcastle United last season.

"I think he really wants to play Champions League football next year somewhere,” Redknapp told talkSPORT.

"We gave him time off after the World Cup but I think he’s really looking to move. I would be surprised if he was at QPR at the start of the year.

"If he goes to the right team, he’s capable of scoring 15 to 20 goals in the Premier League. But I really think he’d like to move.”
