The centre-back insists that his new team-mate will improve the Catalans, although Blaugrana legend Johan Cruyff believes free-flowing football will be impossible
Netherlands legend and former Barca player and coach Cruyff stated earlier on Monday that the club are abandoning their philosophy by signing the Uruguay international, who is poised to complete a £70 million switch this week.

"Luis Suarez is a great signing," the defender told the club's official website.
"He's a very complete player and most of all has the ability to score goals, which is what matters most in football.
"I think we'll come out of this winning and the team will be better with him. It's a good thing that he's going to be playing for us."
Barcelona are also expected to strengthen their defence this summer, which could lessen Bartra's chances of nailing down a first-team place, but the 23-year-old says he will help any new arrivals settle in.
"A lot of names have been mentioned as possible centre-backs since I've been in the first team," he added.
"The right man hasn't been found yet, but whoever does come in the end will be made welcome. We'll help him as much as possible, because the league is starting and it won't wait, so he has to feel comfortable.
"And if nobody comes, then we'll just have to get by with the people we have."
